A handmade pottery shop in San Diego, where terracotta clay and teal glazes come out of the kiln a few pieces at a time.

## Clay from the studio, color from the coast.

Kiln & Coast Ceramics is a handmade pottery shop in San Diego, California. Every mug, bowl and vase is shaped by hand in our studio, then glazed and fired in small batches.

Our colors come from where we live. Terracotta for the warm cliffs and for the clay itself. Teal for the water just past them. Ivory and sand for the quiet days in between. You will find those colors across the shop, in individual pieces and in collections made to sit together on one table.

Because each piece is made by hand, no two come out quite the same. A handle sits a little differently, a glaze pools a little deeper. That is the part we like best: pottery you notice each time you pick it up.

The studio is also where we teach. In our workshops you work with clay yourself and see how the pieces on our shelves come to be.
